Feedbucket and Basecamp integration
Feedbucket can deeply integrate with Basecamp. That means that your team should be able to manage all feedback inside of Basecamp instead of in the Feedbucket Admin.
Install the Basecamp integration on your Feedbucket project
- Go to your project in Feedbucket and then click the tab
Integrations. - On the integrations page click the button
Connectnext to Basecamp as show in the image below.

- If this is the first time you are connecting Feedbucket and Basecamp you will see a popup where you need to authorize Feedbucket. Once the connection between Feedbucket and Basecamp has been established you will be redirected back to Feedbucket.

- You will now see a green bar on the Basecamp integration that indicates that the connection is made. The settings should have opened automatically but in case it doesn't, click on the
Settingsbutton to start configuring the Basecamp connection for this project.
Configure the Basecamp integration to your needs
Most often, you will create one Feedbucket project per client website you are building. That way you can connect each project to a specific project and to-do list inside of Basecamp as well. It's up to you how you want to configure it.
After you connect you should see the configuration pop-up. If you don't, just click on the Open Settings button.
- Select the account. Usually, you will only have one account available. If you have allowed Feedbucket into multiple Basecamp account, select the correct one here.
- Select the project. This is the project in Basecamp where we should look for to-do lists.
- Select the to-do list. This is where Feedbucket will add a to-do every time a new feedback i added. For your convenience, we show the same of the todo-set before the list. Like (todoset) \ (to-do list).
- Click on the button
Advanced Settingsto see more available settings for the Basecamp integration. - Select if we should assign the feedback to someone. Here you can select a user in Basecamp that you want Feedbucket to automatically assign all the to-do's to.

How to use the Basecamp integration
Once you have configured everything as you wish, below is how the integration should behave.
When new feedback is created
Whenever a new piece of feedback is created in Feedbucket, a to-do will be created inside of Basecamp. This to-do will be placed in the project that you selected in step #2 above and under the To-do list that you selected in step #3 above. The to-do will automatically have all of the technical details that Feedbucket collected like the session information of the reporter, the screenshot/recording etc.
If you set a value in Assign to in step #5 above, the to-do will automatically be assigned to that user.

When a new comment is created on feedback
A piece of feedback can have lots of comments as a thread to communicate and collaborate. When a new comment is created on a piece of feedback that has been created in Basecamp by Feedbucket, that comment will also be created inside of Basecamp under the correct to-do. That way, all comments that happens in Feedbucket will automatically be pushed to Basecamp as well.

As you can see in the image the real power lies in the two-way communication here. If your team needs to ask a follow-up question that can be done without leaving Basecamp. All you have to do is to add a new comment that starts with @feedbucket and it will automatically be pushed over to Feedbucket and notify the client of this new comment from you. Regular comments submitted without the prefix of feedbucket will not sync over so you can continue to keep your internal conversations flowing in Basecamp.
When the feedback is resolved
If the feedback gets resolved from Feedbucket, the to-do will automatically be marked as completed in Basecamp.
Again, there is a 2-way integration here as well. If you do any of the below actions from inside of Basecamp, the feedback will be resolved in Feedbucket as well:
- You complete the to-do
- You archieve the to-do.
- You delete the to-do.
When the feedback gets re-opened
If the feedback gets unresolved from Feedbucket, the to-do will be uncompleted in Basecamp.
There's a 2-way sync here as well. If you uncomplete a to-do inside of Basecamp, we will unresolve the feedback in Feedbucket as well.
