Feedbucket and Notion integration
Feedbucket can deeply integrate with Notion. That means that your team should be able to manage all feedback inside of Notion instead of in the Feedbucket Admin.
Install the Notion integration on your Feedbucket project
- Go to your project and then click the tab
Integrations. - On the integrations page click the button
Connectnext to Notion as show in the image below.

- If this is the first time you are connecting Feedbucket and Notion, a pop-up will appear where you have to allow the connection between Feedbucket and Notion. On the first screen (to your left below) read through the permissions that we need and then click
Select Pages. Then select the pages (to your right below) where Feedbucket is allowed to access databases. Once done, clickAllow access.

- You will now see a green bar on the Notion integration that indicates that the connection is made. The settings should have opened automatically but in case it doesn't, click on the
Settingsbutton to start configuring the Notion connection for this project.
Configure the Notion integration to your needs
Most often, you will create one Feedbucket project per client website you are building. That way you can connect each project to a specific set of configurations in Notion as well. It's up to you how you want to configure it.
After you connect you should see the configuration pop-up. If you don't, just click on the Open Settings button.
- Select the data source where Feedbucket should add the feedback. If you can't see your data source. See Step #2 below.
- Feedbucket only have access to the data source, or pages containing databases, the you allowed from Step #3 under Installation. If you need to give Feedbucket access to more data sources, click on
Reconnectto be able to select more pages as in Step #3 from the installation. - Select the status property that Feedbucket should sync statuses with. Currently, we only allow
Status,Select, andMultiselectproperty types. This is usually the property that you have asGroupinside Notion. - Select the value that feedback will have in the Status property (as you selected in step #3 above) when new cards are created.
- Select the value in the Status property that should be associated with the feedback being resolved. This means that if the feedback is resolved from Feedbucket, the card in Notion will get this value in the Status property. Vice versa, if you set this value in the Status property on a card created by Feedbucket, that feedback will be resolved.
- Click on the
Advanced Settingsto show additional settings. - Currently, the advanced settings only let you set values in properties for your data source. When the card with feedback is created in Notion, the properties will have these values. Currently, we only support the properties
Text,Number,Select,Multi-select,Status,Person, andRelation.
People field, you might have to reconnect to make sure you give us the ability to see your users.
How to use the Notion integration
Once you have configured everything as you wish, below is how the integration should behave.
When new feedback is created
Whenever a new piece of feedback is created in Feedbucket, an entry in your data-source selected in #1 during the configuration will be created. It will be created with the property you selected in #3 above having the value from Feedback open value from #4. All the properties will be filled with the values you set in #7 for you custom properties.
The entry will automatically have all of the technical details that Feedbucket collected like the session information of the reporter, the screenshot/recording etc.
When a new comment is created on feedback
A piece of feedback can have lots of comments as a thread to communicate and collaborate. When a new comment is created on a piece of feedback that has been created in Notion by Feedbucket, that comment will also be created inside of Notion under the correct entry. That way, all comments that happens in Feedbucket will automatically be pushed to Notion as well.

As you can see in the image the real power lies in the two-way communication here. If your team needs to ask a follow-up question that can be done without leaving Notion. All you have to do is to add a new comment that starts with @feedbucket and it will automatically be pushed over to Feedbucket and notify the client of this new comment from you. Regular comments submitted without the prefix of feedbucket will not sync over so you can continue to keep your internal conversations flowing in Notion.
When the feedback is resolved
If the feedback gets resolved from Feedbucket, the entry will change the value of the Status Property from Step #3 in configuration to the value set in Feedback resolve value from Step #5 in configuration.
There's a 2-way sync here as well. If the Status property selected in Step #3 in the Configuration changes to the Feedback resolve status value selected in Step #5 in the Configuration, the feedback will be resolved in Feedbucket.
When the feedback gets re-opened
If the feedback gets re-opened from Feedbucket we currently don't do anything. The reason is that it's not obvious what to do.
However, if you set the value of Status property selected in step #3 in Configuration to the value Feedback open value set in Step #4 in Configuration, the feedback will be unresolved.
