Feedbucket and Trello integration
Feedbucket can deeply integrate with Trello. That means that your team should be able to manage all feedback inside of Trello instead of in the Feedbucket Admin.
Video Tutorial
Install the Trello integration on your Feedbucket project
- Go to your project and then click the tab
Integrations. - On the integrations page click the button
Connectnext to Trello as show in the image below.

- If this is the first time you are connecting Feedbucket and Trello you will be redirected to Trello where you have to allow Feedbucket. Once the connection between Feedbucket and Trello has been established you will be redirected back to Feedbucket.

- You will now see a green bar on the Trello integration that indicates that the connection is made. The settings should have opened automatically but in case it doesn't, click on the
Settingsbutton to start configuring the Trello connection for this project.
Configure the Trello integration to your needs
Most often, you will create one Feedbucket project per client website you are building. That way you can connect each project to a specific Trello board. It's up to you how you want to configure it.
After you connect you should see the configuration pop-up. If you don't, just click on the Open Settings button.
- Select the board that this project should connect to.
- Select the list. This is where Feedbucket will create cards when new feedback is added.
- Resolve when a card in Trello is archived. If you use this option the feedback in Feedbucket will be marked as resolved only if you archive the card in Trello.
- Resolve when a card is moved to this list. This is probably the most common setting. If you have a list called
Doneas an example the feedback in Feedbucket will be marked as resolved if the card is moved to this list in Trello.

How to use the Trello integration
Once you have configured everything as you wish, below is how the integration should behave.
When new feedback is created
Whenever a new piece of feedback is created in Feedbucket, a card will be created in the list of the board that you configured in step #1 and #2. The card will automatically have all of the technical details that Feedbucket collected like the session information of the reporter, the screenshot/recording etc.
When a new comment is created on feedback
A piece of feedback can have lots of comments as a thread to communicate and collaborate. When a new comment is created on a piece of feedback that has been created in Trello by Feedbucket, that comment will also be created as a comment inside of Trello on the correct card. That way, all comments that happens in Feedbucket will automatically be pushed to Trello as well.

As you can see in the image the real power lies in the two-way communication here. If your team needs to ask a follow-up question that can be done without leaving Trello. All you have to do is to add a new comment that starts with @feedbucket and it will automatically be pushed over to Feedbucket and notify the client of this new comment from you. Regular comments submitted without the prefix of feedbucket will not sync over so you can continue to keep your internal conversations flowing in Trello.
When the feedback is resolved
In the configuration of Trello you have two modes you can select between:
- When a feedback is resolved from Feedbucket, the card in Trello will be archived
- When a feedback is resolved from Feedbucket, the card in Trello will be moved to a new list like a
Done
There's a two-way communication here as well that works differently depending on what mode you have selected.
- If you selected that card should be archived that means that if you archive a card in Trello that was created by Feedbucket, the feedback in Feedbucket will be resolved.
- If you instead selected that the card should move to a different list that means if you move a card that was created by Feedbucket in Trello to the list you selected in step #4 in configuration, the feedback in Feedbucket will be resolved. As an example, If a card that was created by Feedbucket is right no in the In Progress list and your team finishes work on the feedback and moves it to Done, the feedback in Feedbucket will be resolved.
