Tags to organize the feedback
Tags are short, descriptive labels that can be attached to individual feedback within Feedbucket projects. You can add more than one tag to each feedback item. This helps you quickly group similar feedback together.
It also makes it easier for your team and your clients to talk about and act on feedback. With tags, you can keep everything organized and find what you need faster.
For some integrations as you can see below Feedbucket can also sync tags with your Project management tool.
Manage project tags
In Feedbucket, each project can have its own set of tags. However, new projects don't come with any tags by default—you'll need to add them yourself.
To set up tags for a project, follow these steps (see the screenshot below for reference):
- Open your Project.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Click on Tags on the left side menu.
- You will see Project Tags, which is where you will manage your tags.
If you want to add a tag, click on the Add tag button to the right, and select if you want to add a Feedbucket native tag or an integration tag. A native tag means that the tag stays within Feedbucket and cannot be synced with any integration, while an integration tag can have two-way sync between Feedbucket and the integration. If you need to remove a tag, click on the trash icon to the right of any added tag.
You can also change the sort order by using the drag handle icon to the left of a tag.

How to use tags
In the Feedbucket widget, you'll now see the tags you set up in the project settings. You can add more than one tag to each piece of feedback to keep things organized.
You can tag the feedback directly when you submit it by clicking on the tag icon as seen below.
Or, you can set it by finding the feedback in the widget and click on the "Add tag" button, as shown in the screenshot below.
Once tagged, you'll notice that the feedback list displays these tags. This gives you an easier way to scan through your feedback items and know what each one is about.
Just like in the Feedbucket widget, you can also add tags to feedback directly within the Feedbucket admin area. When you click into a specific piece of feedback, you'll find a tags section that works the same way as it does in the widget.

How to sync tags with your integration
Some of our integrations have the ability to sync tags with Feedbucket. By sync we mainly mean two things:
- If you add a tag to a piece of feedback in Feedbucket, the task in your integration will have that tag as well.
- If you add, or remove, a tag in your integration that is set to be in sync with Feedbucket, the feedback will update accordingly.
This means that the tags will automatically sync up between Feedbucket and the other tool.
First, you need to link the tool to the project. If your tool can share tags, you'll see the integration choice appear after clicking on Add tag, like in the image below. Clicking on the integration will automatically fetch the tags, and then you can click on the dropdown icon to select the tag that you want to sync.

Right now, the tools that can share tags are:
- Asana
- ClickUp
- Jira
- Monday
- Teamwork
We're planning to add more soon. If the tool you're using can't share tags yet, please contact our support team.
Once your tags are added, you can tell which ones can be shared because they have a special mark next to them:

FAQ
Can I disable tags?
Yes, looking inside of Project Settings > Widget > Functionality you can disable tags if you do not want it.
I deleted a project tag but I still see it on my feedback.
Deleting a project tag doesn't automatically remove it from existing feedback. You'll need to manually remove the tag from each feedback item where it appears.
