Upload Assets (images)

Click on the button Create New Asset to start the process. When it comes to design feedback you can usually think of an Asset as a page in your design. For example Home PageAbout PageContact Page, and so on. However, you are free to chose the name of this asset that you want to collect feedback on.

An asset can have one of two different modes:

  1. An asset that has different devices. This is perfect for when you want to group how the Contact Page for example look on both mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  2. An asset without version. This is basically a regular image that you want to collect feedback on.

Uploading an asset with different devices

  1. Start by filling out the name of the asset like Contact Page.
  2. Make sure to select Yes on the question if this asset has different devices.
  3. Check the boxes on the different devices that you want to add to this asset. Note At the moment, we only have MobileTablet, and Desktop as available devices.
  4. For each device that you checked, upload the image.
  5. Click Create Asset

We only accept images to be uploaded. If you have a PDF or some other file type, first make it into images and then upload it.

Uploading assets without devices

This option is best used when you just want to collect feedback on any sort of image. Or, if you don't have different devices in your design.

  1. First, make sure you select No on the question if it has different devices.
  2. Now upload the single image.
  3. Click Create Asset.

Upload new versions

Each asset, or each device type of an asset, can hold multiple different versions. This is great when you have done some changes to the design after the first round of feedback and want to upload a new version. This way you, and you client, can keep track of all the changes that has been made.

Feedback does not transfer over between versions. If you have feedback on v1, they will not be shown in v2.

To upload a new version:

  1. First click on the Version details button as can be seen in the image below.
  2. Click on the button Upload version under the correct device.
  3. Upload the new version in the pop-up.

Submit feedback & Sharing with your clients

Once you have uploaded all of the different assets for this project, you can share the link to get people to start submitting feedback.

The link can be found either under the Project name, or by click on the 3 dots on each asset and then View Asset. That will take you to the portal where you can submit feedback on all the assets. This link is what can be shared with your clients.

  1. To your left you will see all of the different assets. Click to go into a new asset.
  2. This shows the name of the asset, and optionally the device type. You also see a version dropdown. If there are more than one version for this image, you can toggle between them here.
  3. If the asset has different devices, you will see icons of the available devices here to toggle between.
  4. Change the zoom level of the image. By default, it's the original size of the image but you can select a new one if you like.
  5. Feedbucket will be installed in this portal and ready to be used to submit feedback.

We store the selected Zoom level in localStorage so it stays the same when you come back.
