Feedbucket and Monday integration
Install the Monday integration on your Feedbucket project
- Note: If you already have done this step, you can skip to step #2. First you need to install Feedbucket as an app to your Monday account. Do that by going to https://auth.monday.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=706cc96b63b6089c410866707f29fee3&response_type=install. Select the workspaces that you want to install Feedbucket for and click on
Installas seen in the image below. After you have clicked on Install you will be taken to your Monday account and see that you have successfully installed the Feedbucket app. Now, go back to Feedbucket for step #2.

- Go to your project and then click the tab
Integrations. - On the integrations page click the button
Connectnext to Monday as show in the image below.

- If this is the first time you are connecting Feedbucket and Monday you will be redirected to Monday where you have to allow Feedbucket. Once the connection between Feedbucket and Monday has been established you will be redirected back to Feedbucket.

- You will now see a green bar on the Monday integration that indicates that the connection is made. The settings should have opened automatically but in case it doesn't, click on the
Settingsbutton to start configuring the Monday connection for this project.
Configure the Monday integration to your needs
Most often, you will create one Feedbucket project per client website you are building. That way you can connect each project to a specific board and group inside of Monday as well. It's up to you how you want to configure it.
After you connect you should see the configuration pop-up. If you don't, just click on the Open Settings button.
- Select the board. You should see all boards that the account you connected with is an owner of. If you do not see your project in this list make sure to check the permissions in Monday.
- Select the group. This is the group where new feedback will be added.
- Optional) If you want the feedback to by kept in sync with a Status Column in Monday you can set that here. If you select
None, then the feedback will not be synced with any Status Column.
- If you have the feedback synced with a Status Column from Step #3 this field is required. Feedbucket will set the Status Column chosen in Step #3 to this value when a new feedback is created.
- If you have the feedback synced with a Status Column from Step #3 this field is required. When feedback is marked as resolved in Feedbucket, the Status Column from Step #3 will be set to this value. This value is also used in the 2-way integration. So, if you set the Status Column from Step #3 to this value inside of Monday, the feedback in Feedbucket will be resolved.
- Click
Advanced Settingsto show some more settings. - You can set a Parent task for your Monday integration. This means that all feedback from Feedbucket will be placed as sub-items under the task you select. Note! When Parent task is set, you can not set a group in #2. The group will be inherited from the parent task.
- Feedbucket can sync tags between Feedbucket and Monday. Read more about ut under Using the integration

How to use the Monday integration
Once you have configured everything as you wish, below is how the integration should behave.
When new feedback is created
Whenever a new piece of feedback is created in Feedbucket, an item will be created inside of Monday. This item will be placed in the board that you selected in step #1 above and under the group that you selected in step #2 above. The item will automatically have all of the technical details that Feedbucket collected like the session information of the reporter, the screenshot/recording etc.
If you have set up a Status column like in Step #3 the item will have that column set to the value of Open Status that you set in #4.
If you have used a Parent task as in Step #7 above, the item will be created as a sub-item under that parent task.
When a new comment is created on feedback
A piece of feedback can have lots of comments as a thread to communicate and collaborate. When a new comment is created on a piece of feedback that has been created in Monday by Feedbucket, that comment will also be created inside of Monday under the correct item. That way, all comments that happens in Feedbucket will automatically be pushed to Monday as well.

As you can see in the image the real power lies in the two-way communication here. If your team needs to ask a follow-up question that can be done without leaving Monday. All you have to do is to add a new comment that starts with @feedbucket and it will automatically be pushed over to Feedbucket and notify the client of this new comment from you. Regular comments submitted without the prefix of feedbucket will not sync over so you can continue to keep your internal conversations flowing in Monday.
When the feedback is resolved
If the feedback gets resolved from Feedbucket, the item will get an update saying the item was resolved. Also, if you have selected a Status Column in Step #3 during the configuration that column will change to the Resolve Status value you set in Step #5 during the configuration.
There is a 2-way sync here as well. If you do any of the below inside of Monday, the feedback in Feedbucket will be resolved:
- Archive the item
- Delete the item
- If you have Status sync set up: When you change the status column from #3 to the value set in #5.
When the feedback gets re-opened
If the feedback gets re-opened from Feedbucket an update will be posted on the item saying it was unresolved.
If you have selected a Status column from #3 in configuration, that column will be set to the Open Status value that you selected in #4.
How to sync tags between Feedbucket and Monday
Feedbucket can keep tags in sync with Monday. To know more about how to set this up you can view the documentation of tags.
In essence it means this:
- If you add a tag to a piece of feedback in Feedbucket that is set to sync with Monday, Feedbucket will update the Monday item and set the tag. If you remove a tag in Feedbucket, it will be removed in Monday.
- If you add a tag to the item in Monday, the feedback in Feedbucket will also get this tag if it's set up to sync.
