Team Webhook Export

This article is for our new webhooks functionality, where you can have team-wide webhooks for multiple projects at a time. If you are looking for our old Webhook Integration and how it works, you can read this article.

Feedbucket can integrate with your custom solution thanks to team webhooks, with which you can send POST requests to a URL of your choice in five different circumstances: when feedback is submitted, when a comment is added, when feedback is updated, when a comment is updated, and when a comment is deleted.


Configure the team webhook


In order to add and manage the team's webhooks, you will need to follow these steps in Feedbucket Admin:


  1. Click on the profile icon with your initials in the upper right.
  2. Select Team Settings.
  3. Click on Webhooks on the left side menu.


You will be taken to this page:



Click then on Add webhook, and you will see a pop-up where you can enter the following information:


  1. The URL endpoint of your choice (we will use webhook.site for our example payloads.)
  2. The events that have to be synced.
  3. If the webhooks should be sent for all of your projects or the ones of your choice (you must toggle the option off to see individual projects to choose from).



As you can see, this new system offers way more flexibility than the previous Webhook Integration, as you can create multiple webhooks, and toggle individual events and projects. And, of course, it can send webhooks for all projects without having to set it up individually for each one of them like it used to be.


How to use the team webhook


We have seen that it's possible to sync five different event types, and we will now list all of them with individual example payloads. Once you have defined the URL endpoint and saved the configuration, you will start receiving those webhooks as soon as the synced event is triggered.


Please be aware that the payload may not appear right away on your URL — allow for up to 30 seconds in case the server is slow.


When new feedback is created


Whenever a new piece of feedback is submitted in Feedbucket, the payload in JSON format will be sent to your URL endpoint. Here is how a payload for this type of event will look like:

The event type is defined by the action at the very beginning: feedback.created


If you are integrating with a tool where your client is, please be aware that members only feedback webhooks are still pushed, so be mindful of the "membersOnly": true if you do not wish to share internal feedback with your clients.


When a new comment is created on feedback


A piece of feedback can have lots of comments as a thread to communicate and collaborate. When a new comment is created on a piece of feedback in your project, the data will be sent to your endpoint as well. Here is an example of what this looks like:

If you are integrating with a tool where your client is, please be aware that members only comments webhooks are still pushed, so be mindful of the "membersOnly": true if you do not wish to share internal comments with your clients.


When the feedback is resolved (feedback updated event)


If the feedback is resolved from Feedbucket, the webhook sends data about this event as well to your endpoint. Here is an example:
